I am surrounded by writers, and we all seem to have the same struggle: how do I make sure that I’m writing something everyday? Whether it’s good or bad, my goal is to always get something on paper. The problem is that life can get in the way. Work, eating, sleeping, binge watching Game of Thrones for the tenth time (come on, I can’t be the only one, can I?)… There’s always something that seems to get in the way.
But here’s the thing: writing is a habit. It’s something that we have to carve time out of our days to do, even at the sacrifice of something else. So, here’s the challenge: write for thirty minutes a day everyday for thirty-two days. I try to do this about twice a year…right around the time when I need the extra push to make sure I’m keeping myself sane.
I’ll commit to trying to add some prompts, journals, and story starters to keep you on track if you decide to accept the challenge. If you want to increase your challenge, add a word or page count to your daily challenge. If you click the drop down menu, you will see some ideas to get you started on your way.
